Hi All,

OK, Great news, my new PC has now arrived, and I am now up and running.

In other news, I have a new Administrator who has been doing a sterling job uploading some of your submissions.

So pop over and say hi to and check out his gallery.

There doesnt seem to have been many uploads this week, so get out there, grab your cameras and send some submissions and myself and will upload them.

Even if you have joined this club to improve your own work, and dont feel experienced enough to give critique, I would still encourage you to take a look and offer what you like and dislike about others work as it all helps!

Purpose
The purpose of the Photo-Critique-Club is to promote good photo critique, and by doing so making us better photographers.

Having said this, we ask that a ‘no offence taken’ attitude is adopted. The critique you will receive may not always be what you want to hear!

We ask that critique is constructive. If what you say does not help the other member improve his or her photography then it may not need to be said. We ask that you join this group not only to receive critique but to critique other photographs and in turn make people into better photographers. The photos in the Photo-Critique-Club’s gallery are ones that group members have asked to receive critique on.

I have a big appology to make!

For those who watch me in my form, youll know that I have had one or two issues with my PC, so my sincere apologies that the club has been neglected.

I should be purchasing a new desktop PC at the end of this month so things should improve.

Again, my apologies that things are a little slow.

But PLEASE keep your submissions coming, and plugging the club!

I thought I would post this update so as you can see how well this relatively new club is growing in size!

Joining The Club
To become a member of the ~Photo-Critique-Club simply add us to your watch list, AND send a note to the club with JOIN in the title.

Publicity is always welcomed, especially since we are a new club. So putting a link you’re your journal or signature is greatly appreciated, however not required.

Submitting
To submit a photo to the Photo-Critique-Club simply send a not to the club with a link to the desired photo.

NOTE: Please remember that this club is for Photography and submissions that are not photography will not be accepted.

To ensure that each photo in Photo-Critique-Club’s gallery is critiqued we only allow one submission at a time per member. Once you feel that you have received enough feedback you may have it taken out of the gallery and replaced by another photo of your choice, indicated via link. To do this send a note to the Photo-Critique-Club.

What is considered good critique?

Good critique is anything that helps the photographer improve the photo. Examples of this are: “I would have tried….” “I would like to have seen….” “This photo could use a little more contrast”

Do not just tell somebody that their picture sucks. Though you may actually believe it. Telling them that it sucks will not help improve the picture. That is why they submitted that photo, they want to improve it. Saying what you do like and what you don’t like about it may help.
